Stellenzicht Wine Estate was once one of the great dames of the Stellenbosch wine industry who lost her identity through the passing of ownership through the ages. An estate that once produced world-beating wines sorely needed a rethink.

Baron Hans von Staff-Reitzenstein, a renowned German wine collector with a passion for South Africa, purchased the Estate 4 years ago and assembled an experienced wine team to study the soil, ideal varietals and ultimately initiate a massive upgrade of the Estate. This included the removal of alien vegetation, re-establishing indigenous wilderness species and an intense focus on the wines through a vine re-planting programme.

In 2018 RHi Digital & Creative was appointed to undertake an equally ambitious task, to redesign and relaunch this Wine Estate to the world.

The complete 360-degree brand development project culminated with the launch of the Website in April 2021, which coincided with the release of the new wines sold by the estate.


Brand Strategy Development

RHi Digital & Creative was appointed to completely rethink and redesign the brand from scratch. This entailed detailed studies of the ‘core essence’ of the estate, potential naming conventions of both the Estate, and its wine range, development of the key brand pillars and brand positioning within a very competitive wine industry.


Brand Redesign

Once the brand strategy was completed, RHi Digital & Creative collaborated with world-renowned illustrator Steven Noble to design and develop the main logo for the Estate.


Label & Packaging Design

RHi Digital & Creative produced the new Wine Labels & accompanying packaging which included creative design, detailed sampling, and technical design in collaboration with printers and packaging suppliers.


Web-Site Design & Development

The new Website is a microcosm of the entire project and proudly reflects all the elements produced for this grand estate by our agency.
